It takes approximately eleven days to prep the skin properly before receiving a peel. Prepping is easy and many people are already using a product that does this without realizing it. Prep means using a Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic, or Retinol product five to seven days before with a four to five day rest. The peel is administered after the skin has rested to ensure best results.
If you do not prep the skin, the peel will not be as effective.
We will choose the correct peel for your skin type & condition to give you results you desire. There are many different types of peels including: Enzyme, Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic, & Retinol; which range from mild (level I) to medium depth (level II) depending upon type of peel, how the skin is prepped, manual manipulation of peel, length of time the peel processes, and enhancers applied afterward.
Different skin types and conditions may require gentler treatment before the desired peel can be applied. I always tell my guests, "We must Honor your skin". If we find during our skin consultation that a gentler treatment is needed to bring the skin to optimal health, then a gentle enzyme & hydrating facial may be the best bet.
